Engagement session to focus on health care in Picture Butte

PICTURE BUTTE, AB – Residents in Picture Butte and areas surrounding the town are invited to an engagement session Wednesday night.

The September 13, 2023 meeting will focus on primary health care services in Picture Butte.

Attendees will also learn more about the upcoming closure of the ambulatory care clinic (ACC) at the Piyami Health Centre.

The session will give people the chance to speak with Alberta Health Services (AHS) representatives and learn more about the health care services that will continue at the Piyami Health Centre.

AHS noted that because the ACC is only a portion of the overall facility, the session will provide clarity around the health care services that will remain as well as the recruitment efforts that will support primary care in the area.

The engagement sessions is on from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Picture Butte Community Centre.
